Our nursery classes and nursery schools
Nursery classes are attached to primary schools. Nursery schools are stand-alone centres.
Both provide part-time early learning and childcare for three to five year olds during the school year. Some offer places for eligible two year olds.
We support children with additional support needs within mainstream nurseries. Two of our special schools – Braidburn and Oaklands – have nursery classes.
Early years centres (EYCs)
EYCs provide early learning and childcare options for children and families all year round. EYCs support either
- birth to five years
- birth to three years
- three to five years.
