Summer reading challenge for children

The reading agency and libraries present Space Chase, the summer reading challenge 2019

Visit a library to register and take part. We invite children aged 4 to 11 to take up the challenge of reading six books during the summer holidays. This year's theme is Space Chase, an out-of-this-world adventure inspired by the 50th anniversary of the first moon landing.

The Summer Reading Challenge launches on Saturday 22 June and will finish on Saturday 31 August.

You can include library ebooks and audiobooks from our Library2go service in the challenge. Collect stickers as you read and when you've read all six books you'll receive a certificate and finisher's medal.

Space Chase is brought to you by Edinburgh Libraries and The Reading Agency.
