We can supply certificates for events that have occurred in Scotland. A person who has been adopted in Scotland must contact The Registrar General for Scotland.
To apply for a copy of a certificate contact
- any of the offices below and pay by card, we will post the certificate first class on the day you apply
- the office of your choice and make an appointment, we will issue the certificate at the appointment.
The statuatory fee for a certificate is £15 unless you are calling within a month of when the event occurred. If your event occured within 1 month of registration the fee is £10.
If you have an appointment to attend the office and bring the original abbreviated or full certificate the fee is £10 as no statuatory search of the record needs to be done.
